Hello, I’m Chris!

“Legend has it that Chris was born with a pencil in one hand and a camera in the other.”

Okay well maybe it’s not legend, but that’s what my Mom likes to joke about. I’ve always had a passion for photos and memories. In my house I always got a kick out of looking through my parents old photo albums, flipping through page after page and imagining what the story was behind each picture. Growing up you could usually catch me trying to draw my favourite Ninja Turtle or Marvel character or just taking pictures with my friends. At my core I just love being creative, so when I’m not taking pictures for clients I pick up that pencil again. Doing graphic design and helping people brand their businesses keeps me going too.

One of my favourite pastimes has to be spending time with my family. It sounds cliché, I know, but my wife and 2 sons are my world. There is always some sort of joke being thrown around or fun being had. Throw in my 2 cats and our dog Jasper and we’ve got one busy household.

The idea that every moment in life can never really be duplicated is what drives me. As a photographer I get a backstage pass to document some of the most precious, fun and meaningful moments in people’s lives. Getting to know you, your family and friends is really important to me. I believe that it helps me anticipate more personal moments and capture your real story. I like to keep the experience laid back and natural so everyone can be themselves, because that really shows in pictures. But don’t worry! I will also give direction where it’s needed so you’re not left not knowing what to do or feeling awkward.
